Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide.

Effective surveillance and early detection in those with high risk are crucial for improving patient outcomes. Traditional methods like abdominal ultrasound and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) testing have been widely used. However, the sensitivity of ultrasound and AFP for HCC detection can be compromised by the severity of liver disease, particular etiologies of liver disease (MASLD), and high BMI.

This webinar aims to explore the advancements in HCC surveillance, focusing on the role of biomarker, PIVKA-II, and the algorithm, ASAP model, to enhance HCC management.
